Subsidies for air conditioning are not a reward for purchasing a unit; they are support for heating. The programme examines what the house was heated with previously and what it will be heated with subsequently. A unit purchased solely to enable sleeping under a sloping roof in summer does not qualify under any of the current programmes.
However, if you replace electric direct heating or an old boiler with air conditioning and it becomes the main source of heat, the situation is different and it is worth reviewing the conditions.
When a subsidy applies to air conditioning, and when it does not
There is no subsidy for air conditioning intended solely for cooling. Subsidies are available for air-to-air heat pumps, that is, air conditioning units with a heating function used for space heating.
The installation must be carried out by a company authorised to handle regulated substances (F-gas) in accordance with Act No. 73/2012 Coll.; otherwise, the subsidy will not be granted even if all other conditions are met.

How it works in the Haná region
In Olomouc and the surrounding municipalities of Slavonín, Hejčín, Chválkovice and Nemilany, a large proportion of housing consists of detached houses with electric direct heating or older boilers. This is precisely the profile targeted by the programmes.
In apartment buildings in Neředín or Nové Sady the answer is more sober: direct subsidies for flat owners are not available. In such cases, installation is purely your investment, and the only thing we can do for you is carry it out cleanly and at a reasonable price.
What we supply for your application
- proof of authorisation to handle regulated substances (F-gas certification)
- technical parameters of the installed unit, including its heating factor
- documentation of the installation and commissioning
The decision to award the subsidy is made solely by the programme provider. We do not guarantee its receipt; we assist with technical documentation and proof of installation.
Frequently asked questions about subsidies
Must the air conditioning system replace the existing heating, or is it sufficient that it has heating capability?
The programmes support the replacement of non-compliant heat sources; the unit must serve for heating and not act as a supplement to a fully functional boiler. When assessing applications in Olomouc, we always ask how you currently heat your property, as this determines whether the application has a chance of success.
What does the programme require from us as an installation company?
Certificate of authorisation for work with refrigerants (F-gas), technical parameters of the installed unit and documents confirming the installation. We will provide these to you for every order, even if you later decide not to submit an application.
Can I get a subsidy for an air conditioner that only cools?
No. There is no subsidy for air conditioning intended solely for cooling. Subsidies are available for air-to-air heat pumps, that is, air conditioning units with a heating function used for space heating. If you are buying a unit purely for summer cooling, it falls outside the subsidy programmes.
Does the installation have to be done by an F-gas certified company?
The installation must be carried out by a company authorised to handle regulated substances (F-gas) in accordance with Act No. 73/2012 Coll.; otherwise, the subsidy will not be granted even if all other conditions are met.
Do you guarantee that I will get the subsidy?
The decision to award the subsidy is made solely by the programme provider. We do not guarantee its receipt; we assist with technical documentation and proof of installation.
We last verified the figures on this page on 6 August 2026 against the official sources (NZÚ Light, NZÚ úvěr). Subsidy conditions change during the year, if you spot a discrepancy, let us know and we will correct it.
We will determine this for you during the survey.
We will visit, take measurements and provide a price as well as an assessment of whether your subsidy application is feasible. The survey is free of charge and carries no obligation.
